Repair for the complete Viking lineup
Viking has built professional-style appliances for the home since its first ranges shipped in January 1987, engineered and assembled in Greenwood, Mississippi and built around restaurant-caliber power adapted for the kitchen. That heritage is exactly why a knowledgeable Viking appliance repair matters: an Elevation Burner range, a ProChill refrigeration column, a BlueZone integrated fridge or an EOC4 oven control is not the kind of part a generalist guesses at. Our experienced, independent technicians service all eleven Viking categories — cooktops, dishwashers, freezers, grills, ice machines, microwaves, ovens, ranges, range hoods, refrigerators and wine cellars — so whichever unit has stopped behaving, there is one place to begin. You can see the full range on the appliances overview or find your exact unit in the model library.
Cooking: ranges, cooktops, rangetops and ovens
Viking cooking is the signature of the brand. The ranges (VGR/VGIC gas, VDR/VDSC dual-fuel, VIR induction, RV 3 Series) pair Elevation Burners up to 23,000 BTU or TruPowerPlus sealed burners up to 18,500 BTU with TruConvec and Vari-Speed Dual Flow convection, the Gourmet-Glo infrared broiler, VariSimmer and SureSpark ignition. Cooktops and rangetops (VGSU gas, VICU induction with MagneQuick, VECU electric, plus VGRT/VRT gas rangetops folded in) share VariSimmer and SureSpark, while the electric wall ovens (VSOE/VDOE, VESO, VSOF/VDOF French-door) run ProFlow convection and TruGlide racks. Gas burners are diagnosed by symptom; electric ovens and induction tops carry real fault signals. Read your code first on the error codes library.
Refrigeration: refrigerators, freezers and wine cellars
Viking refrigeration is built-in led — 5 Series Professional stainless columns (VCSB side-by-side, VCBB bottom-freezer, VCRB all-refrigerator, VCFF French-door), 7 Series fully-integrated panels with BlueZone Fresh Preservation, all-freezer columns (VCFB / FFI) and the wine cellars (VWUI / VUWC / VCWB). They use ProChill Temperature Management with a DC Overdrive compressor, Plasmacluster ion purification, Spillproof Plus shelves and Dynamic Cooling on the wine units. Viking refrigeration does not publish a numeric fault-code table — the only genuine display messages are oPn and Shr sensor faults — so it is diagnosed from symptoms and alarms. Begin at refrigerator repair, freezer repair or wine cellar repair.
Dishwashers, microwaves and ice machines
The Viking dishwasher (FDWU / VDWU, 3/5/7 Series) reports faults through flashing indicator lights — Pots/Pans and Normal Wash blink patterns — rather than a numeric panel, which makes it straightforward to read before a visit. Viking microwaves (VMOR over-range, VMOD DrawerMicro) show word prompts such as WELCOME and ERROR, not diagnostic F-codes, so they are symptom-led. The undercounter ice machines (FIUI / VBFIC indoor, FGIM / FPIM outdoor) use indicator lights — Ice Making, Time to Clean and a flashing Check Water — with no numeric codes at all.
Outdoor grills and range hoods
Viking outdoor grills (VGBQ and VGIQ stainless-burner, VQGI and VQGFS cast-brass ProSear) are fully mechanical gas appliances with push-button or push-turn electronic ignition — not SureSpark — and a Gourmet-Glo infrared rotisserie, so they have no control board and no codes; every fault is a symptom. Viking range hoods (VWH wall canopies, VBCV built-in liners) are electromechanical, with a variable-speed blower, baffle filters and a heat-sensor auto-on, and are likewise diagnosed by symptom. Both categories are read from how the burners light or the blower runs, not from a number.
Why Viking repair is a specialty
Viking’s signature systems are also what make a competent, independent repair worth seeking out. Elevation and TruPowerPlus burners, the Gourmet-Glo broiler, ProChill and BlueZone refrigeration, the SureSpark ignition and the EOC / EOC4 oven controls all expect genuine sensors, boards, valves, igniters and seals matched to the model — not generic substitutes. Reading your appliance’s code or symptom against the error codes library before booking shortens every visit, and many of our repair guides explain what a signal means and whether it is a quick reset or a service call. We are an independent service and are not affiliated with or endorsed by Viking; we reference Viking names and SKUs only to say what we work on.
